Session Description:
The benefits of passive cooling have been realized in design for centuries. With new building practices and elevated energy building code requirements designers are faced with new challenges of reducing carbon footprints, creating sustainable and green, energy efficient buildings while keeping the occupants comfortable and safe. This seminar will focus on implementation of passive cooling practices including mixed-mode designs, building occupant health, solar control, building orientation and how it all relates to the new IECC Tropical Zone currently under national review.
Biography:
Shawn Moseley has been in the commercial and residential window and door industry for over 20 years, including architectural and engineering consulting, design, installation and sales for many established and recognized national and international manufacturers. At Breezway his work focuses on product certification, building code compliance, specification, installation, field testing and product training.
